It is our special concern to contribute to the preservation of tropical wood species, which is why we manufacture our spare parts from domestic woods. In the area of double bass spare parts we offer self-made tailpieces (5-string), which are created by us with the latest digital technology. Our experts in Marktneukirchen, Vogtland, manufacture our products from local wood. All our double bass spare parts are small masterpieces.
Tailpiece (5-string)
We developed our innovative product in cooperation with Prof. Frithjof-Martin Grabner. The advantage is that all strings run parallel from the tailpiece to the bridge with even pressure. This gives you the perfect support for the demanding use of your double bass, e.g. in the symphony orchestra or when using the slap technique, and you have a reliable companion for all your performances.
Advantages of our tailpiece
The weighting supports the vibrations of your instrument.
The angle of the strings from the bridge to the tailpiece is straight down and parallel to each other.
Due to the perfect slot width, even the thickest string fits into the slot and thus vibrates more freely.
A braided string is included.
The rounding of the hoop on one side minimises the rubbing of the string.
Types of wood
You can choose from Dark Boxwood, Ebony, Boxwood and Maple. We dye in a natural way, for this we have developed our own process, which does not require staining or lyes with saltpetre or ammonia. For the surface, we use pure linseed oil for fine sanding and polishing. This creates a skin-friendly and natural surface.
